New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of West Devon’s pubs, bars or nightclubs, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

The New Inn Bar & Restaurant inSampford Courtenay was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 30.

And the Oxenham Arms Hotel in South Zeal was also given a score of five on April 30.

It means that of West Devon's 66 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 41 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
