A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision near Crapstone on Friday evening (August 30).

The rider of a black Suzuki GSXR750 motorcycle was taken to Derriford Hospital with serious injuries following the accident at 6.49pm. The occupants of a silver Ford Ka also involved were uninjured.

Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a forensic collision investigator and scene of crime officer.

After carrying out a full investigation of the scene they are now working to establish the cause of the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dash cam footage to phone 101, quoting log 811 of 30/08/19.
