POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspected arson at Kellands Lane, Okehampton, last Sunday evening (February 18).

Officers said a flatbed tipper truck was set alight around 9.20pm whilst it was parked outside a property. Fortunately the fire did not spread and was contained to the vehicle itself.

The blaze was extinguished by two crews from Okehampton Fire Station.

Okehampton police are interested in hearing from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and are also making local CCTV enquiries.
