THESE dramatic pictures were taken on Monday night (January 28) when Tavistock Fire Station was called to several fires on moorland near Lydford.

Three crews were called at around 6pm and spent more than two hours extinguishing the fires, which covered around 400m. The following day the ground was covered in snow!

The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
