TWO police officers from West Devon were assaulted in Northlew last Thursday (August 9) when they attended a report of a domestic dispute in the village.

One male and one female officer attended the incident at around 9pm. The male officer was punched in the head and attended hospital for examination.

A 23-year-old man from Okehampton was charged with domestic related offences and resisting arrest.
