AT 980ft the village of Minions, reputed to be the highest in Cornwall, With its rich archaeological and industrial history, makes an ideal start point for a circular heritage and moorland walk.
Organised by Calstock Footpath Society, the walk of six miles has been planned so that length and duration can be adjusted for changing weather and conditions underfoot.
With a mixture of moorland, ancient footpaths, fields, tracks and quiet lanes, and only one short ascent, walkers can experience the wonderful views and wildlife of the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor.
There are no stiles on the walk route.
It is important that suitable clothing and footwear is worn —participants should bring a packed lunch with something appropriate to sit on. This walk is not suitable for dogs.
