Okehampton v Newton St Cyres

THIS was Okehampton's fifth defeat of the season, but it was a good all-round performance by everyone.

There were even knocks from Andy Luxton of 67 runs, also from Nicky Goodchild of 38, Colin Ewen on 33, a good back up of 21 not out by Martin Furniss, and with a fine score for Okehampton of 176 for six wickets.

With Newton St Cyres batting after tea and with a good innings of 67 not out from D Harris and good support from R Brown on 34 and N Bishop on 17.

One disappointment was that Okehampton gave away 50 extra runs. The five bowlers Okehampton used did a good job. An enjoyable match and a credit to both teams.

Newton St Cyres won by four wickets.
