A NATIONAL chainstore will officially open its doors in the Cornmarket in Tavistock next month. The leading niche outdoor clothing company Fat Face will open to the public in mid-October at the Listed building on West Street, owned by Wessex Heritage. Area manager, Drew Bromfield, said: ?The new store in Tavistock will look fabulous and will be fun, exciting and inspirational. ?Our new range fits in well with the new store environment as it?s fresh and designed with a real attention to detail. ?We look forward to welcoming our new customers to the new Fat Face store in Tavistock and will be very proud to show them around.? Wessex Heritage managing director, John Taylor, said: ?I am absolutely delighted that we have been able to persuade Fat Face to come to Tavistock, as their active life-style brands will compliment and enhance the strength of the other local traders in this leading best market town ? the western gateway to Dartmoor.? The clothing company will be moving into the building which has been the home of Fashion Direct for the past ten years. As Fashion Direct is now expanding its business, it has taken a new lease of the adjoining larger double shop unit at 83/84 West Street.
