MEMBERS of Girlguiding Tavistock are once again preparing to provide a Christmas postal service within the town and village of Whitchurch.

The scheme works by customers purchasing blue 25p Christmas Post stamps from Tavistock Guides, Brownies and Rainbows or from various outlets in the town.

Cards can then be deposited in blue post boxes at the outlets as well as Tavistock Methodist Church and Tavistock Guide Hall prior to 5pm on December 19.

Girlguiding members will sort the post and deliver on December 20 or 21.

To avoid disappointment address envelopes clearly and correctly.

Brownies and Rainbows in Bere Alston also operate a delivery service within their village.

Outlets where people can purchase these stamps and post their Christmas cards include: Tavistock Launderette, Dartmoor Photographics, Mainly Stationery, Pillars newsagents, Cards for Good Causes, Superdrug, Lakes Pharmacy and Spar on Ford Street.
