FISHERMEN last weekend welcomed back colleagues after several years from the sport.

Neil Renolds, of Bow, was pleased to record the day?s heaviest, of 18lb 4oz. Brother, Darren, again on Island Pond, recorded 18lbs and 18lbs 2oz. Both used boilies.

E Body, of Eggesford, caught his biggest fish on the waters, scaling 14lb 14oz and a slightly smaller carp using chopped boilies. There fish were full of spawn, but landed easily.

James Stagg, of Crediton, used mixed particles to catch 14lbs 6oz Common on Island Pond.

Within one hour of moving swims Andrew Hazeldene. of Cullompton, landed a 17lb Mirror. At the Western Pond, Matthew Woodwood of Cheriton Bishop and a friend had 10lb and 11lb Commons. Byron de Valera landed three fish from the old tree site.

On Rosemary Pond James Brooks, of Butterleigh, had six double figure carp. K Nena from Exmouth landed six carp scaled 50lbs.
