Senior 2
North Tawton.............................................. 2
Morchard Bishop........................................ 1
THIS local derby had the lot as both sides battled for every ball.
Tawton started the better, playing some slick football in tricky conditions. Burrows was booked early on as the tackles flew in.
Richard Keast was a constant menace and after breaking through, the keeper could only parry his shot into the path of Tony Fisher, who flicked it away to put Tawton in front.
Within minutes Tawton struck again, Fisher following in to grab his second just before half-time.
Morchard Bishop started the second half strongly and Matt Woodward pulled a goal back with a screamer.
Chances came and went for both sides, woodwork hits and goal-line clearances.
Williams and King were rock solid at the back for Tawton as the pressure kept coming.
Both sides deserved great credit for a match played with 100% commitment and effort.
