2312 Squadron Air Cadets at Tavistock are £600 better off thanks to the Holy Royal Arch Provincial Grand Chapter of Devonshire Freemasons.
The grand chapter presented the cheque as part of its ongoing policy of supporting local organisations and charities. It will go towards the purchase of additional drums for the squadron's Corps of Drums.
Presenting the cheque are provincial charity representative Bob Munro and local freemason Chris Thomas, the father of a squadron member. It was received by Flt Lt Phil Newcombe, officer commanding 2312 Squadron.
Mr Munro said: 'We are pleased to support this organisation, which has been such an important part of the local community for many years and, hopefully, for many years to come.'
