By Sheryll Murray, Conservative MP for South East Cornwall
I RECENTLY visited Calstock before attending my chairman’s birthday party in the Chilsworthy area.
It was lovely to be able to sit by the River Tamar and sample some of the great flavours of ice cream from Valenti’s Gelato Artisan Academy Shop. I was very impressed to hear how the business is growing and hearing about their plans for expansion. It is always good to see many locals and visitors enjoying a sunny summer afternoon in this really picturesque village which was once home to my late father.
I also managed to catch up with former longstanding MP for South East Cornwall, Sir Robert Hicks and his wife Lady Glenys Hicks.
I always enjoy this annual event which presents me with the opportunity to benefit from the experience that Sir Robert gained over the 27 years that he represented South East Cornwall in the House of Commons.
Crossing the River Tamar into Devon for a fantastic lunch at the Royal Inn at Horsebridge is a highlight of my summer calendar.
We have also moved my constituency office in Liskeard to larger premises in Liskeard. I have been aware that there is no facility for a private consultation in my old office and have been looking for suitable premises for some time. I have now found premises that meet my requirements at the top of the Parade.
Our telephone number and email address remain the same and we will still operate the same opening times between Monday and Friday.
Our postal address is now Office of Sheryll Murray MP, The Parade, Liskeard PL14 6AF or you can send post to me at the House of Commons, Westminster, SW1A 0AA.
While my main Parliamentary office is based in Liskeard due to the central location within the constituency, I always want to try to ensure that I am as accessible to my constituents throughout the constituency.
I therefore hold a regular monthly surgery in Callington Town hall.
If you have an issue to raise or need my help, please telephone my Liskeard office for an appointment.
