A DANCE show with a difference is being held at Princetown Community Centre tomorrow (Friday) and people are being invited to take part.
The 'Big Funky Chair Dance' is a mass participation community chair based dance for people of all ages and abilities.
The main aim is to introduce 'sitting down dance' and its health and social benefits to all ages and abilities in a fun and creative way.
The dance event's theme is based around Britain's golden summer, including the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Olympics and Paralympics and will also include performances from Princetown Primary School's after school dance club.
It will be followed by tea and cakes with the opportunity to make some new friends.
People coming along are invited to dress in red, white and blue.
The Big Funky Chair Dance is a collaborative project with dance artist Rosie Perdikeas, working in conjunction with the Compass Dance Project, Dance in Devon and Jessica Squires, dance ambassador for West Devon. The project is supported by West Devon Borough Council, Devon County Council and Active Villages.
