WALKERS from all over the country will gather on Dartmoor in October to take on the Marie Curie Cancer Care 13-mile challenge.
Starting at Widecombe-in-the-Moor, the 13-mile route will take walkers through open moors, ancient woodland. They can celebrate completion of the walk with a complimentary cream tea.
Matt Carruthers, events officer, said: 'Dartmoor is a breathtaking location, and this 13-mile walk is a great opportunity to keep fit and raise money to support the work of our Marie Curie nurses throughout Devon.'
Registration for the event is £10, which covers your trekking t-shirt and parking on the day, and every walker taking part is asked to aim to raise £50 in sponsorship.
The walk will take place on October 9.
