THE new boundary stone and granite gateposts unveiled by Prince Charles on his recent visit to Dartmoor have now been completed and sited on the moor.

During the visit this October, Prince Charles, unveiled the new stone and assisted with the splitting of a piece of granite which was used in the building of two gateposts.

The boundary stone was made by mason Andy Cribbett, and has now been erected by Dartmoor National Park Authority's conservation works team on the northern boundary of Haytor Down. The stone bears the inscription DNPA 2001 on it's north side and Prince of Wales on the south.

The granite gateposts have replaced two wooden ones at the medieval settlement at Hutholes, near Dockwell, Widecombe-in-the-Moor.
