AN open day for members of the public to see what discoveries have been made by volunteer excavators at the site of the Roman Fort in Calstock has had to be postponed due to weather warnings.
The open day was due to be held tomorrow (Saturday), but due to weather warnings, including for heavy, thundery showers, the event has been re-scheduled for Saturday, August 7.
The open day will follow the same format as originally planned, with guided tours taking place half-hourly between 10.30am and 3.30pm on the field opposite St Andrew’s Church.
