MASTER chef Peter Gorton was at Calstock Primary School recently to pass on some of his culinary skills to youngsters.
Entry for Peter?s cookery demonstration was by ticket, which together with a raffle, raised funds for the children?s ward at Derriford Hospital.
The event was organised by parents from the school, Wendy Scoble, whose son, Thomas was treated on the children?s ward, and Claire Pascoe.
Raffle prizes were donated by Kernow Ltd (TV/ DVD Player), Plymouth Argyle FC (signed Pennant), Theatre Royal (tickets for a show), Bedford Hotel (Sunday luncheon), Brown?s Hotel (champagne), Tony and Guy hairdressers Ply mouth (cut and blow dry), Lanhydrock Golf Club (round of golf), St Mellion Golf and Country Club (family pass), Exeter Airport and Brittany Ferries.
Flowers were supplied by Kathryn and Brian Rickard from Lanoyce Nursery St Dominick and Charles Steevenson assisted with the wine.
Staff and parents from the school provided support and refreshments.
Harpist Abigail Pile from Princetown played to guests on arrival and consultant plastic surgeon Robert Morris represented Derriford Hospital.
