TAVISTOCK Rotary Club is hosting a Christmas Day Lunch for those who will be on their own on December 25.

Celebrations begin at 11.30am on Christmas morning at the United Reformed Church in Russell Street, Tavistock. There will be a traditional Christmas turkey dinner, courtesy of Tavistock Tesco, with lots of fun, friendship, music and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus.

The Queen’s Christmas Message will be broadcast at 3pm, followed by a drink, mince pies and Christmas cake.

Tavistock Area Support Services (TASS) has volunteered to pick up and drop off those who wish to attend.

Organiser, Rotary member Norrie Philip, said: ‘Places at the lunch are limited, so it is vital to book in advance. As always, thanks to the generosity of the volunteers, there will be no charge for the day.’
