THERE was a packed house at Okehampton's St Boniface Roman Catholic Church to celebrate the reception of the Rev Michael Reynolds and Mr Geoffrey Archer into full communion with the church.

The celebrant was the Rt Rev Christoper Budd, Bishop of Plymouth, together with Father Darline Marianathan, of St Boniface, and Monsignor David Silk and Father David Gasson.

Father Marianathan gave the Gospel reading and assisted during the service.

As well as friends, family and church members, members of the Church of the Holy Family in Chagford also attended the service.

After the blessing and dismissal, there was a super held in the church hall, prepared by the Catholic Women's League and other ladies of the church.

Mr Reynolds and Mr Archer cut a special cake.

Mr Reynolds expressed thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and support both he and Mr Archer had received.
