MEMBERSHIP of Tavistock Young Farmers has continued to increase over the last 12 months with a strong nucleus of members keen to participate in as many competitions as possible.

This has meant there has been strong support in all competition and recently the lamb flock judging final was held with John Batten as champion lamb judge.

More money than ever was raised by the club's carol singers who congregated in the Chillaton area for the annual event. Over £100 was raised and donated to the Devon Air Ambulance.

The next important fundraising event is the annual dinner and dance to be held at the White Hart Hotel, Launceston, on February 25. Guest speaker will be Anthony Gibson from the NFU and there will be a large prize draw.
