TAVISTOCK College's Year 8 rugby team reached the semi final of a seven-a-side Plymouth College tournament after topping their group.
The Year 8s narrowly lost out to Eggbuckland in the final. Trys came from throughout the team, with Gavin Jenkins and Cameron McGurk the top scorers.
Year 8 results: Tavistock College beat Ridgeway School 22-7; beat Stoke Damerel Community College 19-0; beat Plymstock School 14-10 and lost to Eggbuckland Community College 12-17.
The Year 10 students had a tough group and emerged with two victories and two loses, George Glover collecting the most points for the team.
Year 10 results: Tavistock College beat St Boniface's Catholic College 26-0; lost to Kelly College 12-26; lost to Ivybridge Community College 7-17 and beat John Kitto Community College 43-0.
Jade Farrington, a spokesperson for the college, said: 'All the boys were a credit to the college both in their performances and conduct.'
