A COMMUNITY bat walk is taking place in the Tamar Valley on Thursday, August 31.

Organised by Gunnislake Community Matters, the walk will start at 7.45pm from the King George V Playing Field in Gunnislake and proceed along the River Tamar.

Those attending are advised to bring a torch and wear suitable footwear and warm clothing appropriate for a nighttime walk. Bat detectors will also be available to use.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome.
