Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 3
Lamerton 4
Dobwalls 2
Lamerton played host to a young Dobwalls side in what proved to be an entertaining game. They took the lead in the first half when Steve Gibbings controlled the ball in the box and rifled home with his left foot. The visitors equalised when Martin Jordan hammered the ball in from a free kick. Just before half-time Zak Beesley restored Lamerton's lead when he headed over the keeper.
The home side got off to the worst possible start in the second half when, after a bullet header from Paul Breyley was saved on the line, they conceded a penalty which was converted by the visitors' keeper Carl Roberts.
But they went ahead again when Paul Cowling's persistence made the score 3-2. Another penalty was given away but this time it was well saved by Pete Daniel. Cowling made the game safe by lobbing the Dobwalls keeper.
This Saturday away to Roche in the league, kick-off 2.30pm.
