THE North Tawton-based Taw Valley Creamery scooped 14 awards and four trophies at the prestigious Nantwich International Cheese Show. The creamery?s medal haul included gold for its Hard Pressed Speciality Cheese, Red Leicester, Mild Cheddar, and Pro-biotic Cheddar. The creamery?s Pro-biotic Cheddar won the Cryovac Award, its Hard Pressed Speciality Cheese was awarded the LTS Litman Trophy and its Red Leicester won both the Biosystems Trophy and the Berkel Trophy for Best Territorial Cheese. The creamery was also awarded silver for its Vegetarian Cheddar, Hard Pressed Vegetarian Cheese, Red Leicester, Mild Cheddar and Pro-biotic Gloucester, as well as bronze for its Double Gloucester. In addition, Taw Valley Creamery picked up a bronze medal in the Past Masters Class, a category entered by creameries which are former Supreme Champion winners.
