PRINCETOWN fire crews were some of the first on the scene to tackle the fire at Trago Mills in Newton Abbot last week.

The crew was called to the huge department store at 7.30am on Wednesday October 6 where they spent the next six hours tackling the blaze.

Fire chief John Webber said: ?Ourselves and two Plymouth crews went to help the South Devon firefighters first thing and the blaze was under control by the time we left in the early afternoon.?

The store is temporarily closed due to the fire damage but there are plans to reopen it as soon as possible.
