CAN anyone help me in my search for my much loved pet dog? Rio is a 14-year-old black and white border collie who disappeared whilst being walked at the Parke Estate in Bovey Tracey on Monday, April 14. We have had several reported sightings of a stray border collie in the Lustleigh, North Bovey, and yesterday the Chagford and Gidleigh areas. We have been postering like crazy, and spent hours roaming the countryside in search of him, but as yet, have had no success. Rio is a friendly dog, though people that have tried to approach him have noted that he is reluctant to come to strangers. Therefore we ask for people to adopt a keen eye and contact us if he may have been seen. Rio is micro-chipped, and when he disappeared he was wearing a tag and collar. He had recently had the fur shaved from his back leg as treatment for dealing with a skin allergy, so he wasn't looking his best when he disappeared (still beautiful to us though!) Any information on possible sightings of Rio, or advice on where he may have travelled on to would be hugely appreciated. Telephone number 01626 324019/07879 466955.
