WITH reference to last week’s Times and the advert placed in it by RES regarding the postponement of the closure of the A3124, in relation to the construction of Den Brook Wind Farm between Bow and North Tawton.
‘We’ve listened to your views’ it said. This was disingenuous to say the least. The truth of the matter is we received confirmation of the work only two weeks before it was due to take place, without any prior consultation as to the effects of the closure, which would have been catastrophic for the businesses and households in Spreyton.
It was only when pressure was applied that RES decided to ‘listen to our views’, and postponed the work. Perhaps when the work is actually due to take place, RES might like to ‘listen to our views’ first, before going ahead.
