A CHILDREN'S story book written by a Crediton pensioner has received the Royal seal of approval.

Margaret Tucker sent a copy of her book 'Charley' to the Duchess of Cornwall to read to her grandchildren. To her surprise, Margaret received a letter from Clarence House, thanking her for the 'delightful book', which the Duchess says she looks forward to reading with her grandchildren.

The book has now sold out of its second reprint, and more books are on the way. The book is available at a number of local bookshops.
