EAST Cornwall Harriers struck gold last Sunday as one of their members won the Duchy Marathon.
Sharon Daw battled against a strong headwind to clinch victory in a fantastic 3 hours 23 minutes.
The win comes as the icing on the cake for Sharon who has been in fine form recently.
The Grizzly cross-country run saw her contend with awful weather conditions to complete the 17-mile race in 2 hours 23 minutes and she gained a personal best at Bideford half marathon coming home in 1 hour 31 minutes on March 7.
Her next challenge is Tresco marathon on April 18.
