EARLY bird tickets for Chagstock music festival are to go on sale this week.
There are still months to go until the event takes place on July 18 and 19, but tickets for the festival are to go on sale on January 10. With the festival still six months away, only a handful of acts have been announced. The Selecter, famous for their influential platinum selling album Too Much Pressure, will bring their blend of punk, ska and reggae to the festival. Okehampton-based act DownFall, who competed in the 2013 Okehampton Battle of the Bands, secured a slot at the festival through the battle of the bands competition. Hatherleigh-based musician Josie Lloyd is also scheduled to play on the Live Lounge stage.
The sun shone down on the 2013 festival, with a strong line up including the Boomtown Rats, Billy Bragg, the Mystery Jets, Kathryn Roberts and Sean Lakeman.
The Boomtown Rats made their only 2013 UK festival headline performance at the festival.
