BERE Alston Primary School had a visit from the published children’s author David Lawrence Jones last week.

Mr Lawrence’s books include the ‘Bradley Baker’ adventure book series.

As well as being an author he is a patron of Families for Children Adoption based at Buckfast Abbey and the chancellor for Torbay’s Children’s University based at Plymouth University.

He inspired the children to read and write stories by using props and storytelling in an amazing show involving all the children across the year groups.

The show said it was a fantastic event enjoyed by both the children and staff.
