SOUTH Tawton Primary School has benefited from a £318 donation as part of Waitrose’s Community Matters scheme.
The Community Matters scheme allows Waitrose customers to receive a token to place in a box of the good cause they’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive.
The box for South Tawton Primary School raised £318.
A cheque was presented to headteacher, Heather Poustie, by Waitrose representation Kirsty Loader, at the school’s annual BBQ on July 14.
The money donated will be going towards buying stage lighting for the school hall.
A school spokesperson said: ‘We are very grateful to Waitrose for including our school and donating such a great sum to our fundraising.’
