J J Jones and Sons Duchy division two
Gunnislake reserves 2
St Breward 4
SAINT Breward continued their decent start to the season with this deserved victory but for Gunnislake this was a first defeat for six matches. Gunnislake were below par in the opening 45 minutes and a good St Breward side took advantage to establish a two goal lead.
The home side's players received a stern half-time team talk but before they had time to put the interval words in to action Saints had struck twice more.
Gunnislake made the changes bringing on their three substitutes and changing the formation. And to their credit the side showed a terrific attitude to not let their heads drop in the final half hour but instead give it their all in an attempt to salvage something from the game. Chris Bradbury scored from close range when Ryan Lowton headed across goal and Lowton himself struck a fierce 30 yard free kick for Gunni's goals.
There was some good news for Gunnislake as their first team gained a hard earned point against a Fowey side tipped to do well in the premier division when they had a goal-less draw.
