ON Monday evening the Yelverton Bowling Club men played an Evening League match against Plymouth Sir Francis Drake which unfortunately they lost. On Tuesday they were against Bere Alston in the Farley Trophy which they won, 3 rinks to 2.

The ladies had an away league match against Victoria onTuesday afternoon. One rink won while the other lost, the overall score making Victoria the winners. The friendly match against Bere Alston on Wednesday had to be cancelled due to bad weather. On Friday there was another league match against Lee Moor which both the rinks won.

The club lost both weekend mixed friendly matches. On Saturday members were beaten by Callington in six rinks of triples and on Sunday Yealmpton defeated players by two shots.
