MEMBERS of South Tawton Garden Club will be getting a taste of the tropics when they are visited by the owner of a rare and exotic plant paradise next week. At her home at Bertie?s Cottage, Yeoford, plantswoman Patti O?Brien has created six small individually designed gardens which include banana plants, stately clumps of lillies and South African agapanthus. She will be introducing club members to a whole range of interesting species, which can be grown in South West gardens, on October 26 at Belstone Village Hall. All new members are welcome to the meeting which begins at 7.30pm.
