POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision at Merton at the weekend.
The collision happened shortly after 4.20pm on Sunday on the A386 outside Lower Lodge. A 44-year-old man, riding a Suzuki GSXR, was travelling in the direction of Torrington from Meeth with a group of other motorcyclists.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. The road was closed while collision investigators attended the scene. It was reopened by 11.35pm.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting log number 639 of October 6.
