Thanks to the inspirational leadership of Mrs Pauline Fletcher and her loyal band of helpers, Sticklepath Flower Show on Saturday was again a resounding success, with scores of contributors and record visitor numbers.

Exhibits included art work, flowers and vegetables, while Sticklepath Community Church provided cream teas in the village hall and in the Bowdens' garden under glorious summer sunshine.

The ladies of Okehampton Flower Club staged a marvellous display of flower arrangements in the Methodist Chapel where visitors were also entertained by a group of talented singers, led by Roger Bowden.

This show has been a popular feature of Sticklepath village life for many years and Saturday's success clearly secured its continuation for years to come.
