IT IS set to be a busy day at Okehampton Station on Saturday (November 20), as the first train pulls out of the station at 7.30am.
Campaign group OkeRail is laying on a free shuttle bus from town for the first day of the service.
And in anticipation of the crowds, there will also be an extra train on the first day of the new train service, leaving at 8.30am from Okehampton.
This is followed by trains to Exeter at 9.33am and 11.34am and roughly every two hours thereafter up to the final train of the day at 9.56pm.
Tickets need to be booked in advance.
The free shuttle bus is running to link in with the trains from Fore Street via Mill Road and Station Road.
The first bus leaves Fore Street at 7.13am and will arrive at the railway station at 7.22am. There will then be buses at 7.43am and 8.13am to allow people to link in with the train leaving Okehampton Station at 8.30am.
