IN its latest round of grants, Okehampton United Charities has allocated more than £70,000 to directly benefit Okehampton and Okehampton Hamlets residents.
All Saints Parish Church and Church Hall, CHICKS, Wren Music, Okehampton Music Studio, Dangerous Dads, Okehampton Carnival, Okehampton Beating of the Bounds, the Turning Tides Project, Okehampton Scouts and the Ockment Centre’s work club are the organisations which will all receive a share of £33,196 of grants to benefit people living in the area.
Okehampton Educational Foundation has also awarded 71 individual scholarships and bursaries totalling £44,700 to aid people living in the Okehampton area to improve their educational opportunities.
