TAVISTOCK fought hard with great runs by Philip and Corrales down the wings. A corner was well taken by Philip but Staddiscombe scrambled it away.

The defence of Cole, Les and Morgan worked well together but it was the speed of Cole that thwarted most Staddiscombe attacks. A lapse in concentration saw a cross bobble over the line and shortly before half-time the defence allowed Staddiscombe to have too much time on the ball to line up a shot leaving Galway no chance.

The second half saw Tavistock give away another easy goal. But a fter a good run by Corrales Parsons got a goal back. With ten minutes to go Parsons pulled another back. Corrales came close as well as Philip but Staddiscombe managed to scramble the ball out and time ran out on them.
