GOLFERS are invited to take part in the St John Ambulance Devon Charity Golf Day at Tavistock Golf Club on Thursday, August 18, in support of the charity's work with carers in Devon.

The golf day will be raising vital funds for St John's work — they are the UK's leading First Aid charity- to help people to be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

Peter Davies, the event organiser and a volunteer with St John Ambulance, said: 'The St John Ambulance Golf Day offers a marvellous day out in the attractive setting of Tavistock Golf Club on the edge of Dartmoor. We are looking for teams of four golfers to play the course and enjoy a two-course meal when they finish. Players of all abilities are very welcome!'

There will be many prizes available to play for. The entry fee is £150 for a team of four players, which includes golf club fees and a meal.

Proceeds from the Golf Day will support the innovative St John Ambulance Carers Support Programme in Devon, which offers training in life saving first aid skills and other useful support to carers in their role. Hundreds of carers in Devon have already benefited from this programme.

Advance booking is required via the golf tee-time Service on 01822 618181.
