OUTDOOR play is about to get a whole lot more fun at Callington Primary School, thanks to a Big Lottery Awards for All grant.

The school is aiming to enhance its outdoor play area for foundation stage children with a den building area, nature area, seating for outdoor storytelling and more. It is expected to be used through all aspects of the curriculum.

Thanks to school fundraising — £12,000 has been raised — work to transform the concrete playground has already started. The lottery grant of nearly £10,000 will enable it to be completed over the next 12 months.
