NORTH Tawton Rugby Football Club has received a gift from a generous sponsor ? a scrum machine ? which cost more than £3,000. The Richter Predator machine was presented to the club before a recent training evening by Sid Lew, managing director of Lamisell Ltd, of Sampford Courtenay. Receiving the machine was North Tawton Rugby Club President, Mr Peter Hoggins. He thanked Mr Lew for the machine and for his continued sponsorship of the club. He said: ?We very much appreciate his support. This will be an ideal tool for training, especially for the forwards.? Lamisell Ltd who are the UK suppliers of Glulam beams and edge glued laminated panel have sponsored the North Tawton Rugby Club ladies team for the past three years and have helped towards the provision of kit for the under-8s side. Mr Lew said his company also sponsored three players for the Exeter Chiefs, including former North Tawton player Richard Bolt, plus two junior members.
