ST PETER'S Church in Meavy is holding a 'Great Oaks from Tiny Acorns Grow' themed flower festival next week. The festival will run from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13 from 11am to 6pm. As well as glorious flower arrangements in the church, there will be refreshments, stalls and games in the village hall. Entry will be by donation and all the funds raised will go towards the repair and restoration of the church's east window and surrounding stonework. Support for the festival has come from many parts of the local community, including Meavy Primary School, the pre-school and toddler group and local shops and businesses.
