OKEHAMPTON Scout Hut has just had a spring spruce-up, thanks to the town's round table club.

Okehampton Round Table was approached by the leaders of Okehampton Scout Hut for help towards funding replacing the guttering at the hut which had been badly damged during the snow last year.

 The club members decided that this was a very worthy cause as the building is used by such a large number of people including the guides, brownies, cubs, scouts, beavers and others.

 Okehampton Round Table purchased all the guttering, down pipes and other materials and then fitted it meaning there was no cost at all to the leaders of the Scouts.

This considerable saving will help them be able to allocate their funds on things to benefit their users.
