CHILDREN from Boasley Cross Primary School have been finding out about all the different aspects of a healthy lifestyle during a special healthy living week recently. The youngest children in the school started off the week with a healthy living party and enjoyed dance sessions with a country dancing specialist. Different sports coaches came to the school throughout the week, giving the children the opportunity to play a variety of sports, including cricket, table tennis, rugby, line dancing and pilates. There were also swimming sessions to enjoy and parents were given the opportunity to come into school and have lunch with their children on the final day of the healthy living week. This gave mums and dads a chance to find out about the type of food being offered at the school as part of its Fresh Start menu. On this particular day, parents were able to tuck into roast turkey or cheese and red onion flan served with fresh vegetables or salad, followed by fruit, jelly or yoghurt.
