EACH year collectors follow the Okehampton Carnival procession to raise money so the event can run — their job was made a bit easier this year thanks to a donation from Okehampton United Charities.

The charity awarded a grant of £2,500 to help the carnival go ahead this year.

Charity trustee Derek Webber presented the prince and princess’s shield at the carnival on behalf of the charity. This year’s prince and princess were Alexander and Lucy Cross.
