THE 'enhancement' of the St James Chapel area is remarkable on three scores, its irrelevance, its unsightliness and its off-hand denial to the disabled of a particularly valuable parking place.

As both a waste of money and effort and an example of planning illiteracy it takes the biscuit. I despair of my native town.
