IN reply to Commander J Lea?s letter (October 31), regarding Remembrance Sunday.
I am a serving Royal Marine of 29 years? service, based in Plymouth but living in Tavistock.
I always wear my uniform with pride, especially on Remembrance Sunday when honouring colleagues who laid down their lives.
I would be happy to attend a service with my family in the local community, and, although I agree that the attendance at some
services may be disappointing, as a Commander in the Royal Navy in charge of men you are obviously aware that when servicemen are ordered to attend a service at their place of duty they must do so.
